For over 25 years, community and organizational psychologist Debi Starnes has led EMSTAR Research in Atlanta. Throughout her career in Atlanta, Debi Starnes has worked to enhance her professional knowledge and skills through memberships in organizations such as the Society for Community Research and Action (SCRA).
In its efforts to promote the field of community psychology, SCRA oversees various programs and activities aimed at education, research, practice, and policy. Additionally, the organization produces several publications throughout the year, including the American Journal of Community Psychology (AJCP).
SCRA members have online access to the AJCP, which features research, theoretical papers, and detailed descriptions of innovative community programs. Currently, SCRA is collecting work for a special issue of the AJCP that will focus on ethical challenges faced by community psychologists and researchers.
